SOUTH ASIA

About

The ICON•S South Asia Regional Chapter was established in 2026 to cultivate a regional outlook to constitutional law in South Asia and facilitate jurisdiction-based inquiries that are sensitive to the broader South Asian context and implications. The chapter aims to nurture a scholarly community for constructive feedback, mutual support, and promotion of rigorous engagement with public law and constitutionalism (broadly conceived).

Governance Structure

The chapter comprises an Advisory Board responsible for providing intellectual and organisational leadership and guidance to the Chapter, and a Secretariat responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the Chapter and for organising its activities.

The chapter’s membership is open to scholars working at post-graduate or above, in South Asia, or those who belong to the South Asian diaspora, or those who have an interest in or expertise on any aspect of South Asian law.
