We’re delighted to welcome you to Taipei, Taiwan, for the 2027 ICON•S Annual Conference, taking place from 30 June to 2 July 2027!
Participants are strongly encouraged to check Taiwan’s entry requirements and begin any necessary visa arrangements well in advance of travel. Visa procedures and processing times may vary depending on nationality, passport type, place of application, and individual circumstances.
Please be sure to check visa requirements and processing times well in advance.
First, please check whether you are eligible for visa-exempt entry.
If a visa is required, you may also check your eligibility for a Taiwan eVisa.
If neither option is available, participants who have been invited to attend the Conference may be eligible to apply for an eVisa with an Ecode, following the relevant review process. If you require assistance with an Ecode application or a letter confirming your participation in the conference, please email iconstaiwanchapter@
For further information on visa requirements, application procedures, and supporting documents, please consult the Bureau of Consular Affairs’ Visa FAQs or contact the relevant Taiwan overseas mission in your place of residence.
Visa requirements and processing times are subject to change. ICON•S and the Institutum Iurisprudentiae, Academia Sinica (IIAS) cannot be held responsible for visa decisions or any visa-related issues.
The organizing team is liaising with several hotels in Taipei to offer discounted rates; we will release the full list of participating hotels and conditions closer to the issuance of our first acceptance emails.
If you need information about accommodation in the meantime, please contact iconstaiwanchapter@
