Biomedical sciences in the legal perspective

In my presentation the issue of the biomedical sciences in the field of legislation of the European Union (EU) and selected EU Member States will be discussed.

For instance the problem of use of a human body has been specified in derivative provisions of EU law, e.g. Directive 2002/98 / EC, Directive 2004/23 / EC. What is more, the legal nature of the possibility of using human products in biotechnology has already been raised in the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union (e.g. judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union of 18 December 2014 in case C-364/13 International Stem Cell Corporation / Comptroller General of Patents).
